MLB.com: If you weren't a pro ballplayer, what career do you think you'd have?
Grady Sizemore: If I couldn't play baseball, I'd want to play football. But if that didn't work out, I'd probably go to school and maybe teach. I like to work with young kids. I hated school. But that would be a nice job -- a lot of vacation time.
MLB.com: What do you remember about your first car?
Sizemore: I was probably 16 or 17, and I had a Chevy Blazer. I loved it. There was nothing wrong with it. It wasn't an old car or anything like that. It was a brand-new car. My parents spoiled me with it, and I was happy.
MLB.com: What are your memories about your first summer away from your family?
Sizemore: Well, my first summer away was because of baseball. So I didn't have to think about being away from home too much. I could just focus on baseball. But I liked the freedom of being on my own. There's nothing wrong with my parents, but it was nice to live by my own rules.
MLB.com: Are there any hobbies you'd like to take up, but haven't yet?
Sizemore: I like golf every now and then. I'm horrible at it. I don't play at all during the season. In the offseason, I play, maybe, once a month.
MLB.com: Do you have any bad habits you've tried to correct?
Sizemore: I talk to myself, and I move my mouth when I do that. You'll see me in the outfield every now and then talking to myself and moving my mouth, and there's nobody there. I'm not crazy. I just talk to myself. When I think in my mind, I think with my lips. It's just weird. I don't even realize I'm doing it.
MLB.com: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be and why?
Sizemore: Hugh Hefner. I'd like to meet him. I just want to be his friend; I don't want to pick his brain. I just want to be on the list. He could bring his entourage, and that would be fine.
MLB.com: If you could face any pitcher in baseball history, who would it be?
Sizemore: I'd like to face Randy Johnson. I'd be scared out of my pants, and I wouldn't expect much out of myself. I might touch the ball once.
MLB.com: Which would you rather win and why -- the World Series of Poker, an NCAA soccer title, Wimbledon, a Pulitzer Prize or an Olympic gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling?
Sizemore: I'll take the gold medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. It just sounds cool. I don't know too many people who have one of those, so I'll take that any day.
